A Chinese New Year Story
The Chinese New Year festivities include traditions such as wearing new red clothes, sticking Spring Festival couplets on doors, and hanging red decorations around the house. Special paper lanterns, made in various shapes and sizes, adorn the villages. The streets are filled with the sounds of loud gongs, drums, and firecrackers all day long. But have you ever wondered where all these traditions came from?

Inspiration
Pablo Picasso said, "It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.” I am always amazed by our little artists' original creations. So I started this project with my son, Osberht when he was 7 years old. This picture book was drawn by him with his wild imagination and coloured in by me. Both of us had fun with the creative process and we hope you enjoy reading it.
